Chorley Carnival is Back

There hadn’t been one for 19 years, but this weekend Chorley Carnival made a comeback. Here are a few photos from the parade.

We Are Moving

Bit of background first. Our company was founded in 2006, very nearly 6 years ago. During that time we have already occupied 3 different office premises, always moving to gain more space for expansion.

The time has come to move again, as we have outgrown our current accommodation on Market Street, Chorley. Fortunately we found alternative premises, still close to the town centre, but this time on Friday Street. The existing offices total about 1100 square feet of floor space, while the new place is about 2000 square feet, so we will have much more room.

The new offices were last used as a dental lab, and there is still quite a bit of evidence of that use. We will have some clearing out to do!

These are some pictures of the new place as it was when we first visited (taken on my phone).

Since these photos were taken, some of the clutter has gone, and about 1000 metres of network cabling has been put in. I’ll update this post or post again as the move progresses.

CAS Media Website Featured in Web Showcase

One of the great things about the world wide web is the open source community – gifted programmers, designers and developers who release their work for the benefit of other people. One such open source effort is Bootstrap, from Twitter. Now at version 2.0,  we made the CAS Media website using version 1.4 and we were honoured to be featured on builtwithbootstrap.com, a showcase of websites built with Bootstrap (oddly enough!).

Oh, and a hat tip (as they say in these circumstances) to another great open source project CodeIgniter, the PHP framework which provides the back end of the website.

That’s £11.24 for single sided appointment cards (probably 1,000 but it wasn’t obvious – it might have been fewer) on a fairly dull template.
